2 BJD Leaders Nabbed Over Ganja Trafficking In Odisha's Boudh

Boudh: Two local leaders of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) have been apprehended by the police in Odisha’s Boudh district in connection with a ganja trafficking case.

The action by the police comes amid intensified crackdown on illegal drug racket in the district.
The arrested individuals include Bipin Pradhan, husband of a former Zilla Parishad candidate from Kantamal, and Pramod Rana, husband of the Rengali Sarpanch. Both are reportedly close aides of a former BJD MLA.

As per police sources, the two were apprehended following extensive investigation into the illegal transportation and sale of ganja in Boudh district.

Both the leaders and several others allegedly connected to the network are being interrogated by the police as part of efforts to trace the full extent of the trafficking operation.

The arrests have triggered a heated debate in political circles with locals raising questions about the alleged involvement of leaders in illegal drugs operations in the region.
