At around 6:30 a.m., Vuong’s family, led by him, arrived at Ha’s home to follow the tradition of asking for the bride. Ha’s father, Do Van Tao, escorted Vuong into the room where they met Ha, who then came out to greet both families. A representative from Ha’s family shared that Vuong was seen wiping tears from Ha’s eyes as they participated in the emotional ceremony.
In a traditional ritual specific to Thanh Hoa province, the bride’s and groom’s mothers exchanged Vietnamese conical hats. This customary practice symbolizes the bride’s acceptance into her new family, as the groom’s mother prepares a new hat to give to the bride. Ha took the hat with her as she set off for Vuong’s house.
Following the brief formalities, the bride entered the wedding car, which would take her to Vuong’s hometown in Quang Tri province. The journey was expected to take around five hours. According to local customs, Ha’s mother does not accompany her daughter to her husband’s house but instead travels separately to Quang Tri for the wedding reception.

Family members revealed that Ha had risen early to ensure every detail of her wedding attire and makeup was perfect. The night before, her family hosted a celebration for relatives from her hometown in Thanh Hoa.
“Everyone sang, danced, and had a lot of fun until late,” said a relative.
Before the procession, Ha wore a wedding aodai (traditional tunic dress) adorned with lace, a veil, and light makeup as Vuong’s family arrived to take her away.
The couple’s wedding reception will take place on Wednesday evening, with hundreds of guests expected, including several Vietnamese celebrities. Around 4 p.m., they will hold a rehearsal before greeting the guests.
Vuong’s family had been preparing for the wedding for several days. They set up a large tent by the Nhat Le River in Quang Tri, covering a 2,300 square meter area, with protective tarps to shield against rain. The venue also features arches and LED lights.
Photos of the venue reveal distinct areas for the event, including a central stage, guest reception zones, and photo areas. Thousands of hydrangeas, chrysanthemums, and white roses were delivered for decoration, and the stage was adorned with statues of Greek-style goddesses and angels. Although the venue was built a week in advance, construction was delayed due to unpredictable weather.
At the groom’s house, the wedding space was decorated in calming shades of green and white, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Accessories and lanterns were made from bamboo and wood, giving the area a homely touch.
Ha, 24, represented Vietnam at the 2021 Miss World pageant, where she placed in the top 13. She has since been in high demand for domestic fashion shows and is regarded as the “muse” for several prominent designers. Ha holds a degree in Business Law from the National Economics University in Hanoi and, since 2024, has ventured into the beauty industry.
Her husband, Vuong, 31, is the CEO of Son Hai Group, a construction-focused company founded by his father, Nguyen Viet Hai. Vuong is known for being a successful, calm, and private entrepreneur.
