MANCHESTER, England — October 21, 2025 – It was a night of goal-scoring spectacles in the UEFA Champions League as Paris Saint-Germain erupted for seven goals and Barcelona hit six, while a total of 43 goals were scored across just nine games. PSG Crushes Leverkusen 7-2 in Chaotic Clash

Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain made a massive statement with a 7-2 win against Bayer Leverkusenin a match defined by red cards, penalties, and sheer attacking dominance. Both sides were reduced to 10 men in the first half, but PSG took full control with two goals from Desire Doue and another from Nuno Mendes early in the second half.

Substitute Ousmane Dembelereturning from injury, also scored to cap the rout.

Despite the scoreline, Alex Garcia scored arguably the goal of the night for Leverkusen with a stunning long-range strike — a mere footnote in the overall beatdown.

Barcelona Overwhelms 10-Man Olympiakos 6-1

Fermine Lopez recorded his first career Champions League hat trickwhile Marcus Rashford added two goals as Barcelona steamrolled Olympiakos. After a controversial red card to Santiago Hezze in the 57th minute, Barcelona added four goals in just 11 minutes to finish the job.

Olympiakos had shown brief signs of life, pulling back to 2-1 through a penalty by Ayoub El Kaabibut Hezze’s sending off opened the floodgates.

Lamine Yamal also scored from the spot to seal Barça’s commanding victory.

Arsenal Dominate Atletico in Second-Half Surge

Arsenal continued their flawless European campaign with a 4-0 win over Atletico Madridpowered by a brilliant second-half display. Viktor Gyokeres scored twice within three minutes to snap his seven-game scoring drought and put the game out of reach.

Earlier goals from Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli gave Arsenal a comfortable cushion.

Arsenal now sits third in the table behind PSG and Inter on goal difference.

Haaland’s Red-Hot Run Continues for City

Erling Haaland scored again in Manchester City’s 2-0 victory over Villarreal, marking his 24th goal in 14 games this season and extending his scoring streak to 12 consecutive matches. The Norwegian superstar has now amassed 53 career Champions League goals in just 51 appearances.

Bernardo Silva added City’s second as the defending English champions moved up to fifth in their group.

PSV Stuns Napoli in Six-Goal Rout

In the biggest upset of the night, PSV Eindhoven crushed reigning Italian champions Napoli 6-2, sending Antonio Conte’s side into deeper turmoil after a weekend league loss. Down to 10 men after Lorenzo Lucca was sent off in the 76th minute, Napoli collapsed, conceding three goals in the final 10 minutes.

Napoli has now won just one of their first three European fixtures, putting pressure on Conte heading into the back half of group play.

In contrast, Inter Milan maintained its perfect start with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Union Saint-Gilloisewith Lautaro Martinez scoring again, his third in three Champions League games.
