
In Tiruvallur district of Chennai, a man killed his wife and buried her body in a drum. Accused Silambarasan confessed to the crime during police interrogation. This murder, which happened due to suspicion, has become a cause of sensation in the entire area.
A case has come to light from Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu which has shocked the entire area. A 30-year-old man murdered his wife and buried her body in a drum. The police have arrested the accused husband.
According to District Superintendent of Police Vivekananda Shukla, the accused has been identified as Silambarasan. He confessed during interrogation that he strangled his wife Priya (26) to death on August 14 and buried the body near the cremation ground located about 3 kilometers from their house. Shukla said, "The accused suspected that his wife was having relations with many men. Due to this suspicion, there used to be fights between the two on regular basis."

Police investigation revealed that Priya had gone to her maternal home in Pudupalayam, Arani some time ago and there she had expressed her desire to separate from the family. But the family explained and sent him back. When his two sons did not meet their mother for two months, he informed Nana Srinivasan. After this, Srinivasan lodged a missing report of his daughter at Arambakkam police station.
When the police interrogated Silambarasan, he repeatedly changed his statement, which made the police suspicious. After a thorough investigation he finally confessed to the crime. Based on the information received during the investigation, the police recovered the body, which has been sent for post-mortem.
Murder case registered, accused in jail
The SP said that a case of murder has been registered against the accused and he has been sent to judicial custody for 15 days. Shukla said, "In the primary investigation, suspicion on the wife was the reason for the murder. Further links will be added after the post-mortem report comes. Other possibilities are also being investigated."
