Desk: If you use WhatsApp for messaging and chatting, then there is good news for you. WhatsApp is bringing a great feature for Group Chats, with the help of which you will be able to mention all the members of the group with one tag. At present you have to tag each person separately. But with this feature it will be easier to grab everyone’s attention in group chat. This feature is currently being rolled out for Android beta testers.
This feature allows WhatsApp users to tag (mention) an entire group at once. Now there will be no need to tag each person separately. Just by typing @all, all the members will get the notification, so that no one will miss the important message. This update is being released through the Google Play Store beta program and will gradually reach all testers in the coming weeks.

According to the report, WhatsApp has set rules for this feature according to group size. In small groups everyone can use the @all command, but in large groups (with more than 32 members) only admins will have this right to avoid spam or repeated notifications. WhatsApp may also update this limit in future.
Users will have the option to turn notifications on or off for @all mentions. This means that even if a user has muted the group, he can still decide whether he gets @all alerts or not. This setting will be available in the notification settings of the group info section. This will help users have better control and avoid distractions.
