
New Delhi: If you are a customer of State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest government bank, and transact through Unified Payments Interface (UPI), then this news is important for you. SBI has tweeted that due to Scheduled Maintenance Activity, its UPI services will remain temporarily closed from 12:15 am to 1:00 am on October 24, 2025.

The bank has said that during this period, customers can use UPI Lite, through which small payments can be made without any interruption. SBI has also expressed regret to the customers for the inconvenience. The bank regularly upgrades technology to make its digital services better and more secure. Therefore this closure will be only for some time. If you are planning to make any important payment during this period, it would be better to make the payment before 12:15 pm or use UPI Lite.
