New Delhi: Harshit Rana a player from a small town made his mark in the second ODI between India and Australia which concluded on Thursday at the Adelaide Oval. Rana played a crucial role in the teams performance scoring an unbeaten 24 runs off 18 balls. His innings included three fours and the 23-year-old fast bowler played some confident shots. However despite taking some wickets during Australias run chase India ultimately lost the match by two wickets. He mentioned that he has always trained his bowlers to be able to bat when required. Shravan cited the example of Ishant Sharma who has also made significant contributions at number 11 on several occasions. Coachs Opinion on Virat Kohli and Selection Policy Shravan Kumar expressed concern over Virat Kohlis second consecutive duck. He stated that lack of game time and unwillingness to practice directly affect performance. According to him it is unfair to select a player based on their IPL success and then criticize their performance in international cricket. If selection is based solely on T20 performance then they should only play in that format.
