Asda has slashed its prices of Quality Street, allowing Brits to snap up the deal just in time for the festive season.
Many UK households will be looking to Christmas, getting their planning and shopping done ahead to make sure they're well prepared for the holidays, and now, thanks to Asda, Brits can stock up on sweet treats as the supermarket has put the popular chocolate on sale.
The chocolatey Christmas favourite, known for its colourful wrappers and, of course, tasty treats, always makes a return around the holidays.
Quality Street bags and tubs have been a holiday staple in Christmas homes for decades. While the delicious taste has remained the same throughout the years, the same can't be said about the price, which has increased significantly over the years, reports The Sun.
Fortunately, there are deals that allow you to enjoy the sweet treat without hurting your pocket. Asda has reduced the price of the 300g Quality Street bag from £3.48 to £2.98.
The bag, which contains all the renowned flavours, such as the Toffee Penny, the Green Triangle, and The Purple One, is part of Asda's rollback scheme.
More than 4,000 products are discounted as part of the initiative, with up to 25% off stock during promotions.
The chocolates come in a new recyclable paper wrapping this year as one of Quality Street's many changes.
Another change the company has made is the number of sweets in its tub. Despite remaining at around £7 in UK supermarkets, the tubs now weigh 550g instead of 600g, containing fewer sweets than last year.
In more positive news, the brand has also announced a brand-new limited edition sweet, with the flavour remaining a mystery until December.
Racheal Mundy, marketing manager for Gifting and Seasonal at Nestle Confectionery UK and Ireland, said: "Each year we look forward to bringing a limited edition sweet into the mix to excite and delight Quality Street fans, but this year we've taken it a step further by keeping the flavour top secret.
"We can't wait to find out what the nation thinks the flavour is, and we're very much looking forward to hearing some of the guesses."
