Taapsee Pannu has never been one to shy away from speaking her mind. Known for her bold and straightforward nature, the actress often calls out misinformation and is not afraid to stand up to media sensationalism. Recently, she took to Instagram to criticise a media portal for publishing a misleading headline about her.

A popular entertainment outlet had shared a reel claiming that Taapsee had left India and permanently moved abroad. The headline read, “famous actress Taapsee Pannu has shifted abroad,” implying she had relocated for good. Annoyed by the false claim, Taapsee reshared the post on her Instagram story and expressed her frustration over how such news is sensationalised without verification. She questioned why accuracy had become secondary to attention-grabbing headlines and urged media platforms to slow down and do basic research before posting.

Adding a touch of humour, she clarified that she was very much in Mumbai and enjoying her breakfast when she came across the false report. She joked that she was “munching on her dosa in the humid Mumbai morning” while wondering how such baseless information gets published.

The confusion seems to have started after Taapsee’s recent interview where she spoke about her life between Denmark and Mumbai. In the conversation, she explained that she and her husband Mathias Boe divide their time between the two places because of their work and family commitments. She shared that what might seem unusual to people in Denmark is quite normal for Indians, the couple lives with Mathias’ parents who have their own space on the ground floor. Taapsee said that it took some convincing, as living with grown-up children isn’t common in Danish culture but it eventually made their house feel warmer and more like home.

Taapsee Pannu and Mathias Boe, a former Danish badminton player, got married on March 23, 2024, in a private traditional ceremony in Udaipur. The wedding was attended only by close friends and family, including a few from the film industry such as Anurag Kashyap, Pavail Gulati and Kanika Dhillon. The couple has maintained a low profile regarding their relationship and Taapsee has not yet shared any official pictures from the wedding. The two first met in 2013 during the inaugural Indian Badminton League where Mathias played for Awadhe Warriors and Taapsee was the brand ambassador for Hyderabad Hotshots.
