Satish Shah death: Popular actor Satish Shah of 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai' passed away at the age of 74. He died of kidney failure on 25 October. He was known for his roles in many films like 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro' and 'Main Hoon Na'.

Satish Shah, who was seen in 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai', died on 25 October. He was 74 years old. Filmmaker Ashok Pandit confirmed the news of his demise on Instagram and said that he died due to kidney failure. Suddenly his health deteriorated, after which he was taken to Hinduja Hospital where he breathed his last. There has been a wave of mourning in the entire industry due to Satish's demise.

Who was Satish Shah?

Satish was born in the year 1951 in a Gujarati family. Satish Shah started his acting career in the 70s, but he got real recognition in 1984 with Kundan Shah and Manjul Sinha's show 'Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi'. In this show, he won a lot of applause by playing 55 different characters. In the 90s, he worked in shows like 'Filmi Chakkar' and 'Ghar Jamai', and then revived his career by playing the role of the lovable Indravadan Sarabhai in the popular 2004-06 show 'Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai'.

Satish Shah started his film journey with a small role in the 1970 film Bhagwan Parshuram, but he gained notice a decade later for roles in 'Umrao Jaan' and 'Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyun Aata Hai'. He appeared as a corpse in the comedy film 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro', which perhaps became his most iconic role on the big screen. Since the 90s, he has appeared in supporting roles in many hit films, including 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun', 'Hero No. 1', 'Main Hoon Na' and 'Fanaa' among others. He was last seen on the big screen in the 2014 release 'Humshakals'.
