Chhath Puja (Chhath Puja 2025) is a great festival in Hindu religion which comes after Diwali. Chhath Mahaparva has started from 25th October. This festival is celebrated for 4 days. This festival is mostly celebrated especially in Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. Chhath festival is the most strict fasting festival in Hindu religion.

In this festival devotees worship Sun God and Chhathi Maiya. In this, the fasting women observe waterless fast for 36 hours. She offers Arghya to the Sun God twice without consuming water or food. First the setting sun and then the next day the rising sun. With this this fast ends.

During these four days, mothers keep fast praying for the long life and bright future of their children. In this festival devotees worship Sun God and Chhathi Maiya. After worshiping Chhathi Maiya as per the rituals, the fasting women perform the Aarti of the Mother Goddess and then take the blessings of the elders.
