New Delhi, October 25 (Read) — After relying heavily on MediaTek processors for years, Infinix appears ready to expand its Snapdragon-powered lineup. A mysterious new Infinix device, bearing the model number X6878has surfaced on Geekbenchrevealing key hardware details — including a brand-new Qualcomm chip.
Earlier this year, Infinix launched the Infinix Xpad GTpowered by the Snapdragon 888 for global markets. Now, the upcoming X6878 may mark the company’s shift to a more modern Snapdragon platform.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Power and Geekbench Scores
According to the Geekbench 6.5 listing, the device features a Qualcomm processor with a prime core at 2.71GHz, three performance cores at 2.40GHzand four efficiency cores clocked at 1.80GHzcoupled with the Adreno 810 GPU.
Though the listing doesn’t explicitly name the chipset, its configuration closely matches the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoClaunched in August 2025.
In performance testing, the phone scored 1,232 points in Geekbench’s single-core benchmark and 2,882 points in the multi-core test — similar to the Redmi Note 15 Pro+the only device so far confirmed to use the same chip.
Key Details and Expected Launch
The Infinix X6878 listing also confirms 8GB of RAM and Android 16 out of the box. Before appearing on Geekbench, the device was spotted in the EEC certification database in Europehinting at an imminent global launch.
While its official name remains unconfirmed, early reports suggest it could debut as part of the Infinix Zero 50 or Infinix Note Edge series. The smartphone is likely to launch in Novemberthough details about its regional availability are still unclear.
If true, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4-powered Infinix X6878 would mark a major step for the brand, signaling its growing ambitions in the mid-premium smartphone segment traditionally dominated by Xiaomi and Realme.
