On the occasion of Chhath Puja, banks will remain closed in Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi on Monday, 27th October and then there will be a holiday in Patna and Ranchi on Tuesday, 28th October. In this way, banks in the capital of Bihar and Jharkhand will remain closed for 4 consecutive days, because weekend holidays are also included before this. Chhath Puja is a festival of worship of Sun God, which is celebrated with great devotion in Bihar, Jharkhand, Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Nepal. In this, devotees keep fast, bathe in holy rivers and offer Arghya to the setting and rising sun. This time this festival will be celebrated from 25 to 28 October.

Banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad on Friday, 31 October. This day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Apart from this, banks will remain closed in Bengaluru on Saturday, November 1 for Kannada Rajyotsava. This is the anniversary of the formation of Karnataka state. On the same day, banks will remain closed in Dehradun on the occasion of Igas Bagwal. This festival is celebrated 11 days after Diwali in Uttarakhand. Banks will remain open in the rest of the country on November 1, as it is the first Saturday. Banks are usually closed on second and fourth Saturdays.
