The film industry on Sunday bid their final farewell to actor Satish Shah , who passed away on Saturday, due to kidney-related complications.

Actor and filmmaker Sachin Pilgaonkar, a longtime friend of Shah, shared emotional insights into the actor's final months with his ailing wife Madhu Shah, who is reportedly battling dementia and remains unaware of her husband’s passing.

Why Satish got a kidney transplantPilgaonkar revealed details about Satish's health challenges and revealed that the actor got a kidney transplant early this year, saying that he wanted to "extend his life so that he could take care of Madhu."

Satish's final momentsHe recalled visiting the couple just days ago, sharing a joyful moment when Madhu danced the cha-cha-cha while Satish played music. He also revealed that he received a message from Shah at around 12:56 pm on Saturday, stating that he was well. Sadly, the actor passed away just hours later. According to his manager, he collapsed while having lunch at around 2:45 pm. On taking him to the hospital, he was declared dead.

According to the medical certification of cause of death issued by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the ''Sarabhai vs Sarabhai' actor passed away due to kidney-related complications.

Family and friends bid final farewellFamily members, close friends, and members of the film fraternity attended his funeral this morning to pay their final respects at the crematorium in Mumbai. His mortal remains were kept at his Bandra (East) residence earlier for visitors to offer condolences before the final rites.
