Evening Arghya in Chhath Puja is the main day of Chhath Puja, when the devotees stand in waist-deep water and offer Arghya to the setting sun. This is done on the Shashti Tithi of Kartik Shukla Paksha. During this time, some fruits etc. Prasad are arranged in a bamboo basket, which is offered to the setting sun.

Method of Sandhya Arghya (Sandhya Arghya Vidhi)

• Offer Sandhya Arghya at sunset on the Shashthi Tithi of Kartik Shukla Paksha.
• Decorate thekua, fruits, coconut, sugarcane and rice laddus in a bamboo basket.
• The fasting person should stand in waist-deep water on the banks of a river or pond.

• Om disgusting sunray Namah
• Om Adityaya Namah
