New Delhi: Tata Technologies the Tata Groups engineering services company has clarified that the recent H-1B visa fee hike by the Donald Trump administration will not have any immediate impact on the companys operations. Warren Harris CEO and Managing Director stated that due to Tata Technologies global recruitment policy this decision is not a concern for the company at this time. ‘We are a global company’ Harris told news agency PTI The increase in H-1B visa fees in the US has no short-term impact on Tata Technologies. However it will certainly impact our future resource planning. He also added that the companys strategy is different from other Indian IT companies as the majority of Tata Technologies employees in every country are local. We are not an India-out company. We are a completely global organization Harris said. We have American citizens working in the USA and Chinese teams in China while many Indian competitors rely on sending staff out of India. Strength from a Global Structure Tata Technologies strategy is to have approximately 70% of its employees in each country be citizens of that country or region. According to Harris This policy strengthens our relationships with customers and allows our Indian engineering capabilities to be better utilized globally.
