After making the Punjabi entertainment industry go gaga over her looks and on-screen antics, Sonam Bajwa is now playing big in Bollywood and has recently tasted success with her film ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’. While celebrating the success of the film, she graced the red carpet in a pristine off-white drape that celebrated the quiet sophistication of Indian craftsmanship and indeed took us back to the 2000s era.
In the era of bold silhouettes, she took the minimalist route and wore a stunning diaphanous fabric that caught light with every move. Sonam opted for an Aangiwali saree in an off-white hue, which looked perfect with golden sequin detailing and lent a gentle shimmer touch. But what truly made the look iconic was the intricate work on the border.
Decorated with golden fringe work, it added a certain movement and texture, striking a balance between opulence and subtlety. Matching it with a rich gota batti blouse in golden threadwork, it perfectly complemented the drape and brought a modish edge. The blouse’s structured fit with short sleeves and horizontal embroidery created a polished avatar, making it perfect for red carpet and traditional events.

Rather than leaving the pallu loose in front, she exuded a modern charm and styled it from the extreme left, showing off her intricate designer blouse, which truly required its moment. The two pieces together embodied a fine old-school vibe, with a hint of contemporary finesse.
On the accessory front, Sonam amplified the look with exquisite kundan jewellery and statement earrings that softly touched against her skin and did not for a second overpower the look. Her glam followed the same philosophy, where she kept a dewy base with soft lips and cheeks, defined eyes, and left her soft curls down from the centre.
Bridging the balance between old and new, she celebrated traditional Indian textiles while embracing modern-day styling, which looked classic and flashy yet fresh. She made minimalism hot again in ethnic styling, proving she’s indeed the best.
