J&K Police books Christian Missionaries for promoting religious conversion

Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered a case against a group of christian missionaries accused of converting local villagers by misguiding them by assuring relief from poverty an illness in Kathua district.
Police officials said that the incident took place in a rural area of Kathua district, where the missionaries were reportedly persuading villagers to change their religion. Senior Supreintendent of Police, Kathua, Mohit Sharma, has directed strict action in the matter, following which a case was registered and further investigation is underway.
