Marriage time in December 2025

There are less auspicious dates for marriage in the month of December. The reason for this is that at this time the Sun enters Sagittarius and Kharmas starts. During Kharmas, auspicious functions like marriage, house warming and buying new vehicles are postponed. However, in December, Kharmas will start from 15th, hence few days before 15th December are considered auspicious for marriage. 4th, 5th and 6th December 2025 are auspicious dates for marriage.

Kharmas 2025

Kharmas will start from 15th December 2025 till 14th January 2026 and will end on Makar Sankranti. During this period, the speed of the Sun is considered slow and the energy of Jupiter becomes weak. Therefore, it is not considered auspicious to do marriage or other auspicious work at this time.

Let us tell you that as Devuthani Ekadashi falls on 1st November, the auspicious time for marriage begins. There are many auspicious dates available in the month of November, whereas in December, only 4th, 5th and 6th are auspicious for marriage. Due to Kharmas starting from 15th December, marriage or other auspicious functions should be postponed. Thus, Devuthani Ekadashi and the time thereafter is considered extremely favorable for marriage.
