Today’s Recipe: Samosa is the favorite snack of all of us. Its taste is so amazing that everyone gets tempted after seeing it. But if you too are bored of eating potato samosas and want to try something new, then you can make tasty healthy paneer samosas at home. It is made very easily and will also make your tea time snacks special.
This samosa is as crispy on the outside as it is soft on the inside and is full of flavour. And this samosa filled with cheese filling is liked very much by both children and adults. So let us know how to make it.
Material
Flour – 1 cup
Semolina – 2 tbsp (for crispiness)
Oil – 2 tbsp
Salt – as per taste
Water – as required (for kneading the dough)
Paneer – 200 grams (crushed or crumbled)
Green chilli – 1 (finely chopped)
Onion – 1 small (finely chopped)
Green Coriander – 2 tbsp (chopped)
Boiled peas – 2 tbsp
Cumin – ½ tsp
Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
Garam masala – ¼ tsp
Salt – as per taste
Oil – 1 tbsp (for frying the filling)
Method
1-Add flour, semolina, salt and oil in a bowl. Mix well with palms so that the oil gets mixed with the flour.
2-Now knead a stiff dough by adding water little by little. Cover and keep it for 15-20 minutes.
3- Heat some oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter. Add onion and green chillies and fry until light golden.
4-Now add peas and cook a little. Then add cheese, red chili powder, garam masala, salt and green coriander. Cook for 2-3 minutes and turn off the gas. Let it cool.
5-Make a ball of dough and roll it into a round chapatti.
Cut it in half and make two semi-circles. Take one part and give it a cone shape and stick the edges with water. Fill the cheese filling in it and seal it on top.
6- Heat oil in a pan (on medium flame). Add the prepared samosas and fry on low flame till they become golden and crispy. Take them out and keep them on a paper towel. Your crispy paneer samosa is ready.
