Veteran actor and comedian Satish Shah passes away at 74

Renowned Indian television and Bollywood actor-comedian Satish Shah has passed away at the age of 74 due to kidney failure. His sudden death has left the entertainment industry and fans in deep shock. According to Hindustan TimesSatish Shah’s demise came just a day after he made a heartfelt post on social media, paying tribute to late actor Shashi Kapoor.

In his final post on X (formerly Twitter), Satish Shah had shared emotional words remembering Shashi Kapoor. Just a day later, he tragically passed away, and fans flooded social media to share his last post while paying their respects. The news of his death was confirmed by close friend and filmmaker Ashok Pandit, who shared a picture and video message, stating that Satish Shah passed away due to kidney failure just hours before.

Pandit also mentioned that Satish was rushed to Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital, where he breathed his last. His passing marks a huge loss to the entertainment industry, which had witnessed his remarkable career spanning four decades. Satish Shah had been battling health issues for several months and had undergone a kidney transplant. Unfortunately, he developed an infection later, which led to his untimely death at his residence before he could be taken to the hospital.

Satish Shah began his Bollywood journey with the 1970 film Lord Parshuram and went on to establish a strong presence with memorable roles in films like Amar Akbar Anthony, Why is Albert Pinto angry?and the iconic comedy I am going to do it my friendswhere he portrayed the unforgettable character of a corpse. Over the years, Satish worked in numerous hit films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Who are you?, Hero No. 1, Main Hoon Naand Fanacollaborating with major Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Saif Ali Khan.
