CAT 2025 Exam Pattern: What is the CAT 2025 exam pattern?
The exam will consist of three main sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA). The exam will be 120 minutes long, with 40 minutes allotted for each section. Candidates will not be able to switch between sections during the exam.
There will be a total of 66 questions, which will be in multiple-choice (MCQ) and type-in-the-answer format. Three marks will be awarded for each correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Candidates who qualify for the exam will be eligible for admission to the MBA program at IIMs. Admission is based on CAT scores and an interview.
