Bollywood fitness icon Shilpa Shetty’s restaurant, Bastian, is currently the talk of the town on social media. This restaurant is located in Worli, Mumbai and is quite popular among celebrities. However, the prices of its menu are shocking for the common people. In 2019, Shilpa partnered with Bastian founder Ranjit Bindra and now owns 50 percent of the brand.

There are many outlets across the country, but Mumbai’s ‘Bastion at the Top’ is the most famous. It is not easy to make a booking here, as the waiting list can take months. Now let’s look at the menu prices. A cup of simple Jasmine herbal tea costs Rs 920, while English breakfast tea costs Rs 360.

A bottle of French sparkling wine ‘Dom Pérignon Brut Rose’ is priced at Rs 1,59,500. This amount is equal to one month’s ration of a middle class family. Food prices are also not low, with typical dishes priced between Rs 500 and Rs 1200. For example, Chili Garlic Noodles is available for Rs 675 and Chicken Burrito for Rs 900.

If you are looking for healthier options, Burrata Salad is available for Rs 1050 and Avocado Toast for Rs 800. Since Shilpa herself is a fitness icon, the menu is full of salads and healthy items, but looking at the prices, it seems like it is only for the rich. The ambiance at Bastian is fantastic – rooftop views, stylish interiors and live music.
