Rewari News: DC Abhishek Meena has instructed the District Town Planner to take strict steps to stop illegal constructions. He said that immediate action should be taken against those doing illegal construction and they should be completely demolished. He held discussions with mining and narco officials in a meeting held at the Mini Secretariat auditorium on Tuesday.

DC directed to take departmental action against illegal colonies and said that appropriate action should be taken against those colonies which are not covered under the regularization policy. He said that illegal constructions should be demolished immediately. DTP Mandeep Sihag gave information about departmental activities and said that government rules are being followed effectively.

The DC appealed to the general public not to hand over their hard-earned money into the hands of illegal colonizers, otherwise they may have to suffer financial losses. He said that before purchasing land, check the legality of the colony from the District Town Planner Office.

Monitoring of illegal mining necessary

DC Abhishek Meena, in a meeting with mining officials, said that regular monitoring should be done to stop illegal mining in the district. He warned that if illegal mining was found anywhere, strict action would be taken against the culprits. The Mining Department was instructed to take immediate action on receiving information about illegal mining.


Initiative to save youth from drugs

In a meeting with officials of the Narco Coordination Committee, the DC said that drug addicts in the district should be identified and counselled. He said that youth in urban and rural areas should be made aware about the ill effects of drugs. There is a need to run a special campaign for this. He said that the youth should stay away from drugs and concentrate their energy in positive activities.

The state government has issued toll free drug helpline number-9050891508 to prevent drug addiction. Apart from this, any person can share the sale of drugs or information to it through Manas Portal. ADC Rahul Modi, RTA Secretary, SDM Rewari Suresh Kumar, SDM Bawal Manoj Kumar and other departmental officers were also present in this meeting.
