New Delhi, October 28 (Read): Motorola is gearing up for the global launch of its slim flagship smartphone — the Motorola Edge 70which is widely expected to be a rebranded version of the X70 Air that debuted in China earlier this month. Ahead of its official unveiling, new press renders and certification details have surfaced online, confirming several key specifications.
The leaked images highlight the phone’s sleek 5.99mm profile and lightweight design of 159g. The Edge 70 will feature a 4,800mAh Silicon Carbon battery with 68W fast wired charging support. On the optics front, the device is expected to sport a 50MP primary camera.
According to the renders, the smartphone will be available in two Pantone-certified colour options — Bronze Green and Lily Pad.
The Edge 70 has also received its EU Energy Labelrevealing additional details about the handset. The certification lists an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, an A rating for drop protectiona B rating for serviceabilityand an A rating for battery life. The phone is said to deliver an impressive runtime of 49 hours and 34 minutesand the battery is rated to retain at least 80% capacity even after 1,000 charge cycles.
The Motorola Edge 70 is set to launch in Europe on November 5with an expected price of around €700. It remains to be seen whether the global model will be identical to the Chinese X70 Air or feature minor regional tweaks.
