Aamir Khans Debut Aamir Khan made his debut as the lead actor in 1988 with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak opposite Juhi Chawla. Directed by Mansoor Khan and produced by his uncle Nasir Hussain the film became a blockbuster and a turning point for Hindi cinema. It introduced a new kind of romance and made Aamir the nation’s new heartthrob overnight. However what many might not know is that for this career-defining film of Aamir Khan he received only Rs 1000 per month. Since the shoot lasted for almost a month he only earned Rs 11000 for his debut role. He even shared in one of his interviews that he wasnt bothered by his modest fees; rather he was only thrilled to be working in film and following his dreams. The star who never looked back After the massive success of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak there was no turning back for Aamir Khan. He gave a streak of hits after that like Dil Raja Hindustani Lagaan Fanaa Taare Zameen Par Ghajini Dangal and PK among others. His last film was Sitare Zameen Par which was released in June 2025 and once again turned out to be a box-office success further cementing Aamir Khans image of “Mr Perfectionist.”
