New Delhi: Following the increasing uncertainty over Rohit Sharmas ODI future the star batter has achieved a new milestone as he has secured the top spot in the ICC Mens ODI Batting Rankings for the first time in his career. He surpassed Indias current Test and ODI skipper Shubman Gill who had a disappointing tour of Australia. This milestone also marks Rohits maiden stint at the top of the ODI batting rankings an extraordinary milestone for a cricketer in the latter stages of his career. The achievement came following Rohits impressive comeback to the 50-over format in Indias recent three-match ODI series against Australia where he also led the run charts with 202 runs in three innings. His remarkable century in the Sydney finale played a key role in guiding India to a dominant nine-wicket win.
