New Delhi: At the Japan Mobility Show 2025, Honda showcased two interesting models, the India-bound 0 α SUV and a near-production compact electric car called the Super-One. The Super-One will first launch in Japan and later in select Asian and Oceanic markets. For the UK, it’ll be called the Super-N.

It’s good to see Honda giving a compact EV a bold and sporty appearance, which is something that we often feel  missing in small city cars. Let’s see how it will perform in India or the Indian market will appreciate it.

Design and Exterior

Honda Super-One Exterior

The Honda Super-One is a small, tall hatchback with a sporty look. It’s based on the Super EV concept that appeared at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The car has a low, wide stance with flared fenders and black 8-spoke alloy wheels that sit close to the edges, giving it a planted look. The front carries Honda’s regular logo and circular LED headlights placed around the charging port. The bumpers have vertical air ducts to improve aerodynamics and cooling. At the rear, there are rectangular tail-lights placed low near the large rear window and a neat roof spoiler that adds a bit of flair.

Interior and Cabin

Inside, the Super-One follows a clean and horizontal layout. Everything from the infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster to the air vents are arranged in a straight line along with a two-spoke steering wheel and blue cabin accents, which add a modern touch. Honda has kept physical buttons and knobs for key controls, which is a smart move,  because till now, most drivers are interested in buttons. However, most brands are going fully touchscreen. The seats look sporty and supportive, aimed at giving a premium feel in a small car.

Specifications and Performance

Honda Super-One Specification

The Super-One fits Japan’s Kei car regulations, which means it’s under 3.4 metres long. Detailed powertrain specs are still under wraps, but Honda has revealed a Boost mode that increases performance when needed. It also features a simulated 7-speed transmission to mimic the feel of gear shifts, along with virtual engine sounds to make driving more engaging.
