Lucknow. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is taking big decisions every day for the people of the state, so that they benefit. Meanwhile, the government has announced an increase in the prices of sugarcane farmers and has made preparations to increase the scope of the marriage grant scheme.

1. Relief to sugarcane farmers

The government has given relief to the farmers by announcing increase in the price of sugarcane. According to the new policy, the price of early variety sugarcane has now been increased to Rs 400 per quintal and the price of normal variety sugarcane has been increased to Rs 390 per quintal. Earlier, the price of sugarcane was Rs 30 per quintal less. This increase will be applicable for the crushing season 2025-26.

Experts say that this step will increase the income of sugarcane farmers and provide them financial security. The agriculture and cooperative department of the state has called it a big relief for the farmers.

2. Improvement in marriage grant for daughters

The government has made preparations to increase the scope of the marriage grant scheme through the Social Welfare Department. Now the benefit of this scheme will be available to the daughters of those families whose annual income is up to Rs 3 lakh.

Currently the eligibility income limit of the scheme was Rs 46,080 in rural areas and Rs 56,460 in urban areas. Also, the grant amount available under the scheme will be increased from Rs 20,000 to Rs 51,000. This will provide financial help to daughters of poor and middle class families at the time of marriage.

Both these initiatives will directly benefit sugarcane farmers and economically weaker section families. Improving the income of sugarcane farmers will help improve their standard of living, while increased grants for daughters will improve social security.
