Reliance Brands Limited announced that it has signed a long-term franchise deal with Italy’s Max Mara Fashion Group to bring the contemporary womenswear brand MAX&Co. to India. Under this partnership Reliance will introduce MAX&Co.’s signature “fluid mix-and-match” fashion style to Indian shoppers which will offer a wide range of clothing and accessories. First MAX&Co. Store in Mumbai The first MAX&Co. store is set to open in Mumbai in early 2026 with plans to expand to other major cities soon after. The stores will feature the brand’s full collection including its popular “‘&Co.llaboration’ capsules” known for their bold creative and trend-setting designs Reliance said in its statement. “MAX&Co. represents a confident and modern take on femininity - lively stylish and proudly individual” said Isha Ambani Executive Director of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd. “Its blend of Italian design and youthful spirit will strongly connect with the growing fashion sense of Indian women” she added. Maria Giulia Prezioso Maramotti Brand Divisional Director of MAX&Co. and Board Member of Max Mara Fashion Group said that India is a “vibrant forward-looking market” that shares the brand’s love for creativity and self-expression. “Our goal is to inspire a new generation of women who live with confidence curiosity and a modern effortless style” she said. Founded in 1986 MAX&Co. now operates over 400 stores across the world and is celebrated for its easy-to-wear Italian style and contemporary design.
