IBPS Clerk Vacancy 2025: Good news for applicants for the IBPS Clerk 2025 recruitment. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has increased the number of vacancies. The vacancies for the IBPS Clerk 2025 recruitment have been increased to 13,533. This revision in the total number of positions was made based on a manpower review meeting and additional requirements received from participating public sector banks.
Previously, the number of vacancies for the IBPS Clerk 2025 recruitment was 10,277. As demand for more positions increased, the institute added more vacancies, totaling over 3,200.

Awaiting Results
IBPS will soon release the results of the preliminary examination. Details mentioned in the IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam Result 2025 include the candidate's name, registration number, roll number, and qualifying status. Once declared, candidates who appeared in the exam will be able to check their results by visiting the official website ibps.in. The preliminary examination was held on October 4-5, 2025, and the results are now awaited.
The basic salary of an IBPS Clerk is ₹24,050, and over time, the IBPS salary increases to ₹64,480, including allowances such as special allowance, house rent allowance, and dearness allowance (DA).
IBPS Clerk Mains 2025: Main Exam Pattern
The Main Exam will be of 120 minutes duration and will consist of 155 questions carrying 200 marks. The exam will include 40 questions carrying 50 marks from General/Financial Awareness, 40 questions carrying 40 marks from General English, 40 questions carrying 60 marks from Reasoning Ability, and 35 questions carrying 50 marks from Quantitative Aptitude.
The Main Exam will be followed by a Local Language Test. Candidates who have studied the local language of the state for which they have applied up to 10th grade or higher will not be required to take this test.
Like the Prelims, the Main Exam will also have negative marking. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The final merit list will be prepared solely based on the marks obtained in the Main Exam.
