The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the list of bank holidays for November 2025. This month banks across the country will stay closed for 11 days including both public and regional holidays as well as all Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays. It is important to note that not all holidays are the same across every state or Union Territory. People are advised to visit the official RBI website to check the detailed state-wise list before planning any bank visit. This will help avoid any inconvenience or wasted trips. List of Bank Holidays in November 2025 November 1 (Saturday): Banks will be closed in Karnataka for Kannada Rajyothsava and in Uttarakhand for Igas-Bagwal (also called Budhi Deepawali). November 2 (Sunday): Weekly holiday. November 5 (Wednesday): Banks will remain closed in most parts of the country for Guru Nanak Jayanti Kartika Purnima and Rahas Purnima. November 6 (Thursday): Banks in Shillong will stay closed for the Nongkrem Dance festival. November 7 (Friday): All banks in Shillong will again be closed for the Wangala Festival. November 8 (Saturday): Second Saturday and also Kanakadasa Jayanthi a holiday in Bengaluru. November 9 (Sunday): Weekly holiday. November 16 (Sunday): Weekly holiday. November 22 (Saturday): Fourth Saturday. November 23 (Sunday): Weekly holiday. November 30 (Sunday): Weekly holiday. Will Banking Services Be Affected? Even though banks will be closed on certain days in November most digital banking services will continue to function as usual. This means that customers can still complete important transactions without visiting a bank branch. While physical branches may be shut essential facilities remain fully operational. Customers can continue using: Online and mobile banking for money transfers checking account balances and paying bills. NEFT and RTGS systems for real-time fund transfers. ATMs and debit/credit cards for cash withdrawals and purchases. Online requests for services such as chequebooks demand drafts or account updates.
