An incident has come to light in Modinagar, Ghaziabad which has shocked humanity. A 17-year-old girl was raped by her own cousin brother for eight years and when she protested, she threw her off the roof of the house. The victim is seriously injured and the accused has been arrested.
The silence of screams echoed in the silence of the night
On the night of 27 October, the family was sleeping in the house as usual in a village of Niwari police station area. Other family members were downstairs, while the girl was sleeping on the terrace. Hearing a loud scream at midnight, the family members ran and saw that the girl had fallen down. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where when his condition became serious, the doctors referred him to Meerut.
Aunt's son turned out to be a brute, when he protested he was thrown from the roof
After regaining consciousness in the hospital, the girl told that the person who tortured her was her aunt's son Krishna, resident of Rahispur. He came to the terrace at midnight, forced himself, and beat her brutally when she protested. When the girl tried to raise noise, he threw her down from the terrace and fled from the spot.
Horrible atrocities were going on for 8 years
The statement of the girl shocked the entire family. She told that the accused had been raping her for the last eight years. This cruelty first started when she was just 9 years old. When she protested several times, the accused threatened and even beat her.
Case registered on father's complaint, accused behind bars
ACP Modinagar Amit Saxena said that a case has been registered on the complaint of the girl's father. Police have arrested the accused and investigation is ongoing. At present the victim is undergoing treatment and once her condition improves, her statement will be recorded before the magistrate.
This matter not only raises questions on the dignity of relationships but also on the awareness of the society. Police are now preparing to take this case to fast track court so that the victim can get justice soon.
