New Delhi: Elon Musk on WhatsApp: Elon Musk owner of companies like Tesla and Starlink has made a serious allegation. He claims that WhatsApp knows what people are messaging. This helps determine which ads to show to users. Calling this a major security flaw Musk has announced the launch of XChat. XChat will be an app that will compete with WhatsApp. It will be launched in the next few months. This app will be available on smartphones and will also integrate with Musks social media platform X. What will be special about XChat? According to media reports Elon Musk has said that users will get end-to-end encryption in the XChat app. It will be based on a peer-to-peer system similar to Bitcoin. On the Joe Rogan Podcast Musk claimed that the XChat app will be completely safe. People wont have to see any ads and their chats will be secure. Musk also stated that no third-party services will be used for XChat which will help keep peoples data safe. Musks claims regarding XChat Elon Musk claimed that his new app will have zero ads zero data proofing and zero compromise. He claims that conversations on it will be completely confidential and even X will not be able to read them. People on X Chat will be able to send direct messages to each other share files and offer audio and video calls. Musk did not provide any evidence to support the allegations he made against WhatsApp. WhatsApp has always insisted that messages sent to each other are completely secure. According to market experts Musks allegations against WhatsApp appear to be unsubstantiated and could also be a stunt to promote XChat.
