Epfo Is Playing An Important Role In Expanding Social Security Mansukh Mandaviya

On the occasion of the 73rd Foundation Day program of the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Union Minister of Labor and Employment and Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya said on Saturday that EPFO ​​has made a significant contribution in increasing the scope of social security in the country.

Addressing the gathering, Union Minister Mandaviya appreciated the historic role of EPFO ​​in ensuring social and financial well-being of the country’s workforce. He urged the organization to focus on citizen-centric service delivery with a new purpose and vision.

He said, “EPFO is not just a fund. It represents the trust of the country’s workforce in social security. On the occasion of this Foundation Day, it will provide new inspiration and energy to all the officers and inspire them to create a vision for the coming years. This vision will guide EPFO’s journey from Sankalp to Siddhi.”

The Union Minister said, “EPFO must continue to strengthen the trust of citizens by ensuring fairness, speed and sensitivity in service delivery.” He called for setting global standards in social security as we move towards a developed India 2047.

On this occasion, the Union Minister also launched the Employee Nomination Scheme 2025. The scheme, to be implemented from November 1, 2025, aims to encourage employers to voluntarily declare and enroll eligible employees.

Labor and Employment Secretary Vandana Gurnani, who was present at the event, appreciated EPFO’s evolution from a compliance-based body to a citizen-centric institution.

He said, “Behind every file lies a dedicated employee, a family and a dream. Every employee should be treated with complete respect and dignity, because social security is not just about systems, but also about people.”
