Maison Kayser is the world-famous French artisanal bakery and patisserie brand, winner of 14 international awards and widely regarded as a global culinary icon.
On opening day, Eric Kayser Phu Quoc welcomed hundreds of guests for afternoon tea and to sample the brand’s signature French pastries.
“I noticed the Eric Kayser sign as soon as I arrived in Phu Quoc and have been waiting for the opening to finally enjoy my favorite croissant. It’s not easy to find a ‘slice of Paris’ when you’re traveling somewhere that’s not France, so I feel quite lucky,” said Lee Ji-ho, a Korean visitor.

Sun Group is the exclusive partner operating Maison Kayser in Vietnam. The launch of Eric Kayser continues Sun Group’s mission to bring world-class gastronomy to Vietnam, following its collaboration with the Michelin Guide that helped elevate Vietnamese dining scene with Michelin-starred restaurants across the country.
Founded by master baker Éric Kayser in Paris in 1996, Maison Kayser has grown into an emblem of French artisanal baking, with more than 300 stores in 30 countries and a collection of prestigious awards such as “Best Croissant in Paris,” “New York Best Baguette Award,” and “Tokyo Best Baker Award.”

Eric Kayser’s signature concept emphasizes authentic Parisian baking, anchored by a natural sourdough starter — a living yeast culture refreshed daily and allowed to ferment slowly for about 12 hours. This slow-fermentation process yields a thin, crisp crust and a light, mildly tangy crumb that is more digestible and flavorful. Every loaf and pastry is handcrafted with precision and passion under the philosophy of “Slow fermentation—fast service.”
At Eric Kayser Phu Quoc visitors can enjoy iconic creations such as baguette, croissant, pain au chocolat, and sourdough bread — all baked fresh on-site daily. The menu also features premium desserts (cookies, brownies, tarts), French specialties (macarons, canelés), savory pastries, and fresh sandwiches with fillings like tuna, ham, and cheese.

Speaking at the grand opening, master baker Éric Kayser praised Phu Quoc as a jewel of Vietnam and an ideal place to open the new store. “It is the perfect place for Maison Kayser to begin a new chapter, bringing the essence of French gastronomy to blend harmoniously with the island’s unique beauty and vibrant rhythm of life,” he said.
Located in the heart of Sunset Town and overlooking Kiss Bridge — one of the island’s most romantic sunset spots — Eric Kayser Phu Quoc offers a refined Mediterranean design and an inviting setting for brunch, coffee, and afternoon tea.

“I’ve tried Eric Kayser pastries in Bangkok and Singapore, but the experience here feels truly special. The recipes remain authentically French, yet enjoying them while watching the sun dip behind Kiss Bridge, surrounded by the romantic buildings of Sunset Town and its lively street performances — it’s far more charming than any other store I’ve visited,” said Sirikarn Wattanapong, a traveler from Thailand.
