An American woman was excited to try a "very highly recommended" restaurant that they don't have in the USA- the one and only Toby Carvery.
The British pub chain specialises in traditional roast dinners, which she couldn't wait to try. As they queued for their meat, Amber Kacherian remarked that it "looks delicious," saying that she knew what a Yorkshire pudding was. She rubbed her hands together as she waited for her turn in line, visibly excited.
"Do you put the stuffing inside the Yorkshire pudding? I'm not really sure", she said, as a staff member recommended putting "anything you want" inside, recommending "cheese or gravy".
Amber was also floored by the number of different styles of potatoes there were available at the carvery.
"I think I'm just going to slather everything in gravy," she commented, which is the right way to do it if you ask us! She then commented on how great the drinks' selection was at the machine.
"We've loaded our plates up," she shared, as she videoed everyone's plates, which were piled high with all different types of meat. They all commented that it looked "delicious," but Amber did have one complaint about the meal.
She said: "One thing that was noticeably absent from the carvery is beans! Where are the beans? I thought everywhere had beans in the UK".
Most Brits will be cringing at the thought of beans on a roast dinner, and just because Brits are partial to beans on toast or in a jacket potato doesn't mean that we want them anywhere near our roast dinners.
Amber commented that the stuffing with gravy "tastes like home" because it tastes just like the one she has at Thanksgiving. She also said that it tasted like a Thanksgiving dinner as a whole, so she was really impressed with the Toby Carvery.
She said that she got four different types of meat, saying she got roast beef, ham, turkey, and pork, and she said that the "meat is really good" saying it was "nice and tender and juicy".
One of Amber's friends complained that in the UK, people don't add salt while cooking, and you have to "add it after," which, of course, is personal preference. He likened this to "putting sugar on a cake after it's been baked".
Another of her friends said that he was wondering whether the carvery was going to "be defeating" him this time, saying he didn't know whether he was going to be able to "clean the plate". But he managed it.
Then, they decided to get dessert, which they said was "delicious". Amber noted that in "most places" in the UK, there's the "option to add custard," which she said she "wasn't complaining about," but she said she wanted it in America.
Amber left and said: "That was some good food. I feel like I just ate a Thanksgiving dinner". She then joked it was time for them to "roll on home".
But not before she spied the advertisement for an "all you can eat breakfast" for just £7.99. "Well, we're coming back," she ended the video by saying.
