Netflix is ending the year with one of its biggest months ever. November 2025 brings a mix of fan-favorite shows, new movies, and award-season contenders. There’s something for everyone — from epic sci-fi to heartfelt documentaries.

Stranger Things Returns for Its Final Chapter

The wait is finally over. Stranger Things is back for the start of its final season.

Stranger Things 5: Volume 1 will premiere on November 26.

This season takes us back to Hawkins in 1987. Eleven and her friends face Vecna for one last battle. The main cast — Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, and Sadie Sink — all return for the emotional finale.

Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein Arrives

On November 7, Netflix will release Frankenstein, directed by Guillermo del Toro.

The movie was a huge hit at the Venice Film Festival, earning a 14-minute standing ovation. It stars Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, and Jacob Elordi.

Critics are already calling it one of the top Oscar contenders this year.

Being Eddie: A Look at Eddie Murphy’s Life

Being Eddie premieres on November 12. It’s a touching documentary about Eddie Murphy’s life and career.

The film features interviews with comedy legends like Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, and Jamie Foxx. Fans will get to see a more personal side of the comedy icon.

More New Shows and Movies

Netflix is adding plenty of new content in November:

November 13: The Beast in Me, a psychological thriller starring Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys.

November 13: Last Samurai Standing, a Japanese live-action series based on a manga about samurai warriors.

November 14: Nouvelle Vague, directed by Richard Linklater — a love letter to French cinema.

November 21: Train Dreams, starring Joel Edgerton and Felicity Jones, another film already gaining Oscar buzz.

Sesame Street and Family Favorites

Sesame Street makes a comeback on November 10, with brand-new episodes.

Netflix made a deal with Sesame Workshop to bring the classic children’s show back after Warner Bros. dropped it. Families can also look forward to new holiday movies all month long.
