Friends, in today’s modern era, smartphones have become an important part of our lives, without which we cannot spend even a minute, which provide us many facilities. For the safety of phone users, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is going to make a big change in the way of viewing incoming calls. Soon, along with the mobile number of the caller, his name will also appear on your screen by default, let’s know about this feature-
Default Feature:
Whenever you get a call, the new system will automatically show the name of the caller.
Government Approval:
TRAI has approved the plan proposed by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to implement this facility.
Better caller identification:
Till now, only the caller’s number was visible. With this change, both name and number will be displayed, making it easier to identify callers.
Preventing Fraud:
The initiative aims to curb fraudulent calls, cyber crimes and financial scams. The government believes that this will be an effective step towards enhancing user security.
Opt-out options:
If you do not want to display your name along with your mobile number, you can deactivate this feature by applying to your registered mobile operator.
