Stray Dogs Case: Chief Secretaries Apologise To SC For Not Filing Affidavits; Victims To Be Heard On Nov 7

The Chief Secretaries of all States and Union Territories appeared before the Supreme Court on Monday and offered an unconditional apology for failing to submit compliance affidavits regarding the issue of stray dog bites.
The appearance came in response to the Court’s earlier order directing top state officials to report on measures taken to address the growing menace of stray dog attacks across the country.
The Supreme Court stated that it would also hear submissions from victims of dog bites to understand issue firsthand. The matter has been listed for further hearing on November 7.
