Why will banks be closed on November 5th?
According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday list, banks will be closed in many cities across the country on November 5th on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartik Purnima, and Raas Purnima. These cities include Aizawl, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, and Srinagar. Therefore, customers are advised to complete their important banking work in advance.
When will the weekly holidays be?
Banks will have approximately nine holidays in November 2025. Banks were closed on Sunday, November 2nd. Following this, there will be weekly holidays on Saturdays and Sundays on November 8th, 9th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, and 30th. In addition, holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays and festivals are also included.
Holidays will not affect online services.
Don't worry. Bank branches will be closed during these holidays, but customers will be able to easily use digital services like ATMs, internet banking, mobile apps, and UPI.
