Temporary Closure for Runway Maintenance
The Adani Group-operated Mumbai International Airport will halt flight operations for six hours on November 20. This closure is necessary for extensive post-monsoon runway maintenance.
According to the airport authority, the decision to close the runway aims to uphold safety, reliability, and compliance with international aviation standards.
The private airport operator announced that both cross runways (09/27 and 14/32) will be temporarily shut down from 11 AM to 5 PM on November 20 as part of a comprehensive annual maintenance plan following the monsoon season.
The maintenance work will encompass thorough inspections, surface repairs, and technical evaluations of runway lighting, signage, and drainage systems.
