The 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been picked in the India A squad for the upcoming Rising Star Asia Cup, which is set to be played between November 14 and 23 in Qatar.

The boy who made his first-class debut at 12 became headlines after bagging a deal with Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2025 and made history as the youngest player to hit a century off 35 deliveries in men’s T20s.

Earlier this year, he hit the fastest century on record in youth ODIs against England at Worcester. Meanwhile, another sensation, Priyansh Arya, who scored 475 runs in 17 innings of the IPL 2025 season, has also been included in the squad.

The wk-batter Jitesh Sharma will be leading the side with Naman Dhir named as the vice captain.

“The Senior Men’s Selection Committee has picked the India A squad for the Asian Cricket Council’s Rising Stars Asia Cup to be held in Qatar,” said BCCI in a release.

“The tournament will be played from 14th to 23rd November 2025 at the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha.”

Meanwhile, the batters like Nehal Wadhera, Naman Dhir, Suryansh Shedge, Ramandeep Singh and Ashutosh Sharma will be filling the middle order while Abhishek Porel will serve as the second wicketkeeper in the squad.

Gurjapneet Singh, Yash Thakur, Vyshak Vijaykumar, and Yudhvir Singh are the four pacers named in the squad, while Suyash Sharma and Harsh Dubey are the frontline spinners.

BCCI have also named five standby players – Gunoor Singh Brar, Kumar Kushagra, Tanush Kotian, Sameer Rizvi and Shaik Rasheed. India has been placed in Group B, alongside Oman, UAE and Pakistan A.

India A will open their campaign against the UAE on November 14 and take on arch-rivals Pakistan A two days later, on November 16. Both matches will be played at the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha.
