BSP: To improve the party’s performance, BSP President Mayawati may conduct “random inspections” of the party’s organizational units established at the booth, sector (five booths combined), district, and divisional levels.

Later on, Mayawati’s word has been sent. Her arbitrary examination of one underperforming unit might have a greater effect than any review meeting at party headquarters as it will serve as a reminder to other units to correct their records.
People who have been with the BSP for a long time don’t remember “Behenji” randomly inspecting the party’s local units, at least not in the recent past. She used to conduct surprise inspections of Ambedkar villages, which had the highest concentration of Dalits, as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. This approach was effective since the officials were watchful and the voters and party leaders valued it.
Local units are important for the party’s development and electoral success since they serve as a direct conduit between the party and the electorate. Booth-level employees know every family of the party’s supporters in that booth, in addition to being familiar with local caste math and important concerns.
Following the party’s dismal showing in the Lok Sabha elections, these units’ creation and reorganization got underway last year.
However, party office bearers have been more watchful and proactive after “Behenji” presented her proposal for sporadic inspections of these units at a recent conference.
Mayawati has placed a strong focus on local-level units recruiting new party members from all castes and groups via door-to-door and small village-level gatherings in the organizational units’ review meetings so far.
Reaching out to and recruiting members and voters from respective castes and communities is the duty of the office bearers assigned to these units. “We have had foot troops at every level because our party is cadre-based. However, “Behenji” serves as a source of inspiration for everyone.
The party and the organization are now ready for the 2027 elections after the party’s rally in Lucknow on October 9, according to a party official.
