14 year old young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi, playing for Bihar in Ranji Trophy 2025-26, played a stormy innings. His bat played very well against Meghalaya. He attracted everyone's attention by playing T20 innings in red ball cricket. He hit fours and sixes while playing just 67 balls. However, he remained just 7 runs away from breaking a big record, which he will always regret.

This match played on Patna ground was affected by rain. Even the first innings play could not be completed in 4 days. But on the last day of the match, Vaibhav Suryavanshi entertained the fans with his innings. He played an explosive inning of 97 runs facing only 67 balls. But he remained just seven runs away from his century. If he had completed a century in this match, he would have become the youngest Indian player to score a century in the history of first class cricket. But he missed out on making this record.
Due to rain, only 166 overs could be played in this match. During this, Meghalaya declared its first innings by scoring 408 runs. In response, Bihar batted only 25 overs and scored 156 runs at the loss of 4 wickets, out of which Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 93 runs. During this, Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 60 runs only with fours and sixes. A total of 9 fours and 4 sixes were seen in his innings. Apart from him, no other player could touch the figure of 30 runs.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has recently been included in the Indian team for the Rising Stars Asia Cup. This tournament will be played from 14th November.
