Actress, model, and host Iffat Omar opened up about her personal and professional life during her appearance on Mazaq Raat. She spoke honestly about friendship, love, and the challenges of working in showbiz.
Iffat said that although she has spent nearly 30 years in the entertainment industry, she does not have any real friends there. She explained that while some people have guided her and acted as mentors, she has never found genuine friendship in the field.
According to her, true friends stand with you in every situation, but in the entertainment world, it is rare for people to take a stand for someone else. She believes the industry is competitive and people mostly look after their own interests.
Iffat also shared her practical views about love. She said the idea of dying for love is unrealistic. “No one dies for anyone. Life goes on, and people move forward,” she said. She believes everyone lives according to their destiny and must accept reality.
The actress further mentioned that she is not working in dramas these days because she is unhappy with the quality of scripts and the roles being offered.
Earlier, Iffat Omar, one of the favorite Pakistani actresses, host, and social activist, has been the center of attention in the showbiz industry for decades. Her dedication to remain fit and living a glamorous life has led people to guess her actual age wrong numerous times. With her assertive nature and open-mindedness, she gets trolled on social media many times. However, she does not let them bother her and goes on living life her way.
She recently celebrated her 53rd birthday and marked the occasion on Instagram. Interestingly, a quick Google search lists her birthdate as August 8 and her age as 49 years, but she explained on her birthday day that she has now turned 53 years old.
Beginning her life as a model, Iffat Omar soon gained recognition in the world of drama with her unique acting skills. During the 1990s, she acted in a series of popular dramas, and audiences were amazed by her individualistic style and powerful performances. Her most memorable works include Najdi Ki Larki, Aanch, Begana, Pehchaan, and Ajaib Ghar, where she performed strong, respectable, and realistic roles that struck a chord with the audience.
