New Delhi . Former Congress President and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday held a press conference named ‘H Files’ at Indira Bhawan in New Delhi and made serious allegations of large-scale vote theft in the Haryana elections. He also expressed apprehension that what happened in Haryana may now be repeated in Bihar also.
This press conference took place at a time when voting for the first phase of 121 assembly seats in Bihar is to be held on Thursday. Rahul Gandhi alleged that around 25 lakh fake voters have been created in Haryana and it is a case of ‘organized vote theft’. He claimed that this fraud was not done at any local level, but at a higher level. He said that there are total about two crore voters in Haryana, out of which every eighth voter is fake.
Giving figures, he said that 25,41,144 votes are fake in Haryana. These include 5,21,619 duplicate voters, 93,174 invalid addresses, and 19,26,351 bulk voters. Apart from this, Form-6 (adding names) and Form-7 (deleting names) were also misused on a large scale, but the Election Commission has now blocked access to these data. Rahul Gandhi said that this matter is very serious, because despite such huge vote theft, the Congress party lost by a margin of only 22,779 votes. He said that the election results were influenced in a planned manner.
The Congress leader showed the photograph of a Brazilian model and claimed that the same photograph was used under different names to cast votes 22 times at several booths in Haryana. He said that this model is sometimes registered in the voter list by the name of ‘Seema’, sometimes ‘Saraswati’ and sometimes ‘Sweety’. He told that the photo of the same woman was repeated 223 times at two booths in Haryana. It is also alleged that a person named Shashank Giri voted 14 times in booth number 431 and 508, while two brothers named Rudrabhishek Jain and Naman Jain voted 18 times in booth 130 and 131.
Rahul Gandhi said that if the Election Commission wants, it can immediately identify all the fake voters with similar photos or addresses by running a simple process, but that is not being done. Rahul Gandhi also played a video of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in the press conference, in which Saini was seen saying before the results were announced that “BJP is forming a unilateral government.” Rahul Gandhi called this video a proof of conspiracy. He said that Congress candidates in Haryana were continuously receiving complaints that there were irregularities in the voter list.
Rahul Gandhi said that for the first time it happened that there was a huge difference between the postal ballot and the final result. When we investigated, it came to light that the future of the youth has been stolen. Rahul Gandhi said that the same pattern is being seen in Bihar also. He called some voters on the stage and claimed that their and their families’ names had been removed from the voter list without any reason. Rahul Gandhi said that now only Gen-Z and youth in India can save democracy by following the path of truth and non-violence.
