Estranged brothers and Bihar political rivals, Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, crossed paths at the Patna airport.

The encounter was captured on camera during a podcast by YouTuber Samdish and has since gone viral.

The video shows an uncomfortable silence between the two brothers as they avoid any direct conversation.

The video shows Tej looking at Nehru jackets at the airport store when his aide informs him that Tejashwi is passing by.

As Samdish greets Tejaswhi, who was accompanied by Vikassheel Insaan Party chief Mukesh Sahani, the younger Yadav acknowledges the YouTuber but doesn't greet his elder brother.

At the end of the video, when the YouTuber asked if he and Tejashwi were on speaking terms, Tej breezes off the subject, replying vaguely, "He is doing fine."

Family feud escalates in Bihar politics
Political rivalry

Tej was removed from the RJD in May following a dispute over a photograph with a woman uploaded on his Facebook account. The woman was later identified as Anushka Yadav, his girlfriend.

After he was expelled, he formed the Janshakti Janata Dal, which has fielded candidates in 22 constituencies, including Raghopur, the family stronghold where Tejashwi is contesting.

On the campaign trail, Tej dismissed any notion of family ties in politics, declaring, "There is no brother...nephew, only the enemy."

The first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections will be held on Thursday; the second phase on November 11.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced that all 243 assembly seats will be contested during these two phases.

A total of 121 constituencies across 18 districts will vote in this phase. The results will be declared on November 14, just before the current assembly's term ends on November 22.
