Aadhaar Card Update Rules 2025: If you are thinking of updating your name, address or mobile number in the Aadhaar card, then now you do not need to go to any Aadhaar service center. Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has recently shifted all its Aadhaar work completely to the digital platform.
This means that now you can do all the work like Aadhar card update, verification, or PAN linking online sitting at home.

Now all Aadhaar facilities will be available online
Under its new digital system, UIDAI has created a platform where almost every service to Aadhar card is available online. Now cardholders can change important information like their name, date of birth, address and mobile number by directly visiting the UIDAI website.
To update the information, documents like PAN card, passport, ration card or driving license will have to be uploaded as identity proof. Special attention has been paid to making the process simple and user friendly.

New last date for PAN-Aadhaar linking
The government has fixed 31 December 2025 as the last date for linking PAN and Aadhaar. If both the documents are not linked by the due date, the PAN card will be deactivated.
Apart from this, it will now be mandatory for those who want to get a new PAN card made to get Aadhaar verification done. This will ensure both accuracy and security of data.
Improvement in online KYC process also (Aadhaar Card Update Rules 2025)
UIDAI has also made changes in the KYC (Know Your Customer) process to make digital services faster and secure.
Now banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions can identify the customer in three ways
- Aadhaar OTP Verification
- Video KYC
- In-person verification
This will save customers from the hassle of visiting the branch again and again and the identification process will be more secure than before.

Change in Aadhaar update fees
UIDAI has implemented new fee rates from 1 November 2025. Now the charges for different services are as follows –
- Aadhaar Reprint – ₹40
- Biometric data update – ₹125
- Demographic Data Update (Name, Address, Date of Birth etc.) – ₹75
- Home Enrollment (First Member) – ₹700
- Enrollment of other family member at the same address – ₹350
The new fee rates aim to make the service more transparent and standardized.
