Shooting Completed for 'The Trainer'
Chennai, Nov 5: The production team behind the action thriller 'The Trainer', directed by P Velmanikkam and starring Tamil actors Srikanth and Shaam, has officially completed filming. This much-anticipated movie draws inspiration from the Tamil Nadu police's ‘Kaavalan’ App Initiative.
Produced by Neela under the TransIndia Media & Entertainment Pvt Ltd banner, the film showcases Srikanth in a pivotal role as a dog trainer, with a trained canine named ‘Lee’ playing a crucial part in the storyline.
Shaam will portray a police officer in the film. The narrative, inspired by the ‘Kaavalan’ App aimed at enhancing women's safety, combines social themes with thrilling action sequences.
The plot of 'The Trainer' centers on a secretive gang engaged in criminal activities, led by an acupuncture doctor. The protagonist, who possesses the unique ability to identify individuals through their sweat, manages an orphanage and finds himself embroiled in an investigation led by a cop who mistakenly suspects him of wrongdoing. As the gang threatens the woman he loves, he embarks on a gripping quest to uncover the truth, safeguard his orphanage, and clear his name, leading to a dramatic and emotional conclusion.
Insiders reveal that the film promises to deliver high-octane action, featuring at least eight thrilling sequences designed to captivate audiences.
In addition to Srikanth and Shaam, the cast includes Pujitha Ponnda, Anjana Kirthi, Junior MGR, Vagai Chandrasekar, and Sai Dheena in significant roles.
On the technical side, the film boasts cinematography by Arunmozhi Cholan, music composed by Karthik Raja, the son of renowned music director Ilaiyaraaja, and sharp editing by Niranjan Antony.
